Sinead Chapman – Our New Chair

Sinead Chapman - 2011/2012 ChairHere is a message from Sinead: “I’m really excited to have taken the post of Committee chairperson in the Autumn of 2011, especially as my little girl, Aoife (pronounced e-fa!) will join bengeo playgroup in January 2012.

Being new to the area, and at the beginning of our journey through Aoife’s schooling years, I thought it’d be a great way to meet some local families and make a difference to a place that I’m sure will become a really important part of our family life. And with baby number two arriving late Nov 2011, I figured I’d need something to keep the mind challenged while off work!

When not being mum, I work 4 days a week in London for an advertising agency that specialises in the charity sector. Over the last 10 years I’ve worked with dozens of well known UK and International charities – the NSPCC, UNICEF, British Heart Foundation, Amnesty International, Oxfam and WWF (to name a few). It’s as rewarding as it sounds – the perfect mix to satisfy my love of great creative solutions, sound strategic thinking and all to benefit the people who need it most in this world. Certainly something worth getting out of bed for.

Though by the time you read this it’ll mainly be night feeds and teething getting me out of bed!”
